For some people, Christmas and the whole holiday season can be a time of sadness, loneliness, and misery. But there is hope. If you are sad or lonely, grieving or otherwise struggling this Christmas season, join us for our annual service of light and hope.
This service includes quiet Christmas carols, the lighting of candles, and a service of healing. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow. All are welcome.
Our traditional Christmas Eve worship will begin at 3:30 pm, and again at 6:30 pm. Special music begins 30 minutes prior to each service, so make sure to get here early! These services will include the lighting of candles for the singing of "Silent Night."
Because it's a Sunday this year, we will have worship on Christmas Day at our regular time of 9:45 am. This will be a service of Lessons and Carols -- we will sing lots and lots of Christmas carols while we hear the Christmas story as told in scripture. I will be reading a special story about Christmas in place of a sermon. This will be a very casual service -- you are welcome to come in your pajamas if you like!
The 3:30 Christmas Eve service, and the Christmas Day service, will both be recorded and shared online. An effort will be made to get the Christmas Eve service online by 6:30 pm on the 24th, so that you can worship at home at the same time we're worshiping on-site for the second service.
