POP Celebrates 50 Years!
The 50th anniversary committee has worked very hard to set up the calendar of events slated for 2022! We will be hosting our past pastors throughout the year, as special guest speakers and attendees for a special celebration dinner in November. Each month a temple talk during our worship service will highlight how our members became part of our congregation. January, February, and March will kick off the year with memories of Johnsonville, East Bangor, and North Bangor parishes that were the founding congregations of POP. A special service will take place in June at the Jacktown community center, where we will start our day with worship, followed by music and entertainment, along with possible food trucks and wine tastings. We will be inviting past and visiting organists that have entertained us throughout the years, for a special performance.
Other events will be a picnic held at the church as well as a Christmas house tour of local homes followed by music and refreshments at the church, and maybe even a living nativity outside!
